Located at The Bay Centre, the Festival of Trees is a cherished tradition in Victoria, serving the community for the last 27 years. The Bay Centre is transformed into a lush forest of beautifully decorated trees by local businesses and sponsors which not only showcase the Christmas spirit, but the community too. #7 Marvel at the Christmas Lights
There are two magical events rolling through Sidney and Victoria this holiday season. Join Peninsula Celebrations Society for the beloved Sidney Sparkles Christmas Parade along Beacon Ave. on December 1st. And on December 7 be sure to watch the annual IEOA Truck Light Convoy of local commercial trucks decorated to the finest travelling through the streets of the Capital Region with the goal of collecting food items for the Food Bank.
#6 The Magic of Christmas at Butchart Gardens
From December 1st to January 6th enjoy the spectacular Twelve Days of Christmas light display at The Butchart Gardens. This popular Christmas attraction comes to life on a winter’s night where you can enjoy classic festive displays, ice skating, carollers, and seasonal dining!
#5 Marinas & Boats Lit Up
One of the joys of living on Vancouver Island is we are surrounded by water, and at Christmas time we love to decorate our boats and marinas. Take a stroll down to the Inner Harbour in Victoria on Friday, November 29 where the streets and boats will be alight with Christmas joy. Or head out to Sidney and walk through this adorable seaside town and have a hot chocolate on the pier and make sure to give the giant snowman a nod as you stroll down the dock. The Sidney Sparkles Parade is on Sunday, December 2 at 5:00pm followed by the lighted sail past of decorated boats along the waterfront.

Who doesn’t dream of watching their favourite holiday movie under the stars with a mug of hot chocolate? Thanks to the Delta Victoria Ocean Pointe, you and your family can! This attraction offers flexibility as movies are played every Tuesday and Wednesday evening in December, and admission is free with a donation.
